In collaboration with Northwestern University students, I redesigned the Greater Chicago Food Depository's Summer Lunch Bus program. This program brings 600,000+ lunches to children who may have reduced access to food outside of school, especially during the summertime. With the goal of creating a design that resonated with kids and helped make it cool to get healthy meals, several designs went through focus testing to arrive at the final concept. This design was applied to wraps for the Lunch Bus, flyers, vinyl signage, and marketing assets.
For GiftsForYouNow.com, I designed various print marketing materials including the quarterly (+ holiday) catalog, FSI newspaper ads, and package insert slips.
Bringing modern touches to traditional print catalogs, GiftsForYouNow's Summer 2015 catalog employed sharp new photography, a cleaner and easier to understand aesthetic, and variable data personalization printing to emphasize GiftsForYouNow's business model.
In April & May 2015, I was tasked to redesign the front-end experience of GiftsForYouNow's awareness-based apparel brand, MyWalkGear.com. Because MyWalkGear.com has a cause-focused product line, the user experience was tailored to fit. Overall changes to the site included using a more responsive framework, adding friendly product photography, and engaging the customer to choose a cause as their first step. The combined effects of these changes amounted to an 80% reduction in bounce rate on the main page, resulting in a much more engaged customer - roughly 50% more customers now choose a specific cause to donate to with a portion of their sale.
In January 2015, I took over the production of email marketing campaigns for the three main brands at GiftsForYouNow. After review, I revised our strategy to employ custom mobile-responsive email templates. These templates allow for a high degree of flexibility while still following best practices for modern email marketing design. As a result, we saw an average 100% increase in unique click rates over our old standards.
